At Primrose Lane we will provide all of our children with the skills, creativity and enthusiasm to live and thrive in a world increasingly dependent on computing. We are committed to making children feel safe online and be responsible on-line users. As computing is an increasing part of life today it is essential that all pupils gain the confidence and ability that they need in this subject, to prepare them for the challenge of a rapidly developing and changing technological world. The use of technology will enhance and extend children’s learning across the whole curriculum whilst developing motivation and social skills.

A high-quality computing education equips pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world. Computing has deep links with mathematics, science, and design and technology, and provides insights into both natural and artificial systems and computer programming. All members of our school community will contribute to the school’s online presence. Our school website and social media pages will continue to showcase the excellent work being carried out by our children. We believe it gives them all the experiences they need to prepare them for 21st century lifestyles. By the end of their time at Primrose Lane, children should feel confident in using technology and should be able to keep themselves safe. Children will have a sound knowledge of up to date technology and how it can be used to enhance the curriculum and their learning. Our pupils will ultimately leave Primrose Lane ready for the future.
