Welcome to Orange Class September 2025 - July 2026
02.10.25 In RE, we have learnt about the Creation Story and drew our own Creation Stories. |
|||
02.10.25 In PE, we had an explorative play session to see what we could do. We have some amazing jumpers and climbers! |
|||
01.10.25 In Geography, we asked ourselves what is a map? We had great fun looking on Google Street Maps, before having a go at drawing our own map. We were very impressed with the detail! |
30.09.25 Today we had a visit from the life education bus, and our favourite Harold the giraffe! We learnt about our wonderful body and how to keep ourselves healthy and safe. |
|||
29.09.25 Today we coloured in poppies ready for the Wyndham Park Community Association to put up in the local area, ready for Remembrance Day. |
|||
19.09.25 We had a great Fitness Friday in Orange Class! We started with some dances to our favourite songs. We joined in outside for a whole school wake and shake dance. We did lots of jumping to remember our numbers. We talked about our favourite sports. We had some extra playtime outside for our choosing time. |
16.09.25 Today in PE, we practised our throwing. We introduced the idea of an underarm throw and threw a ball or beanbag correctly into a hoop target. We challenged ourselves by taking a step further back each time. |
15.09.25 In Science, we asked what is a material? We discussed that a material is something that can make or create something else for example, fabric can make our school uniforms. We looked all round the classroom and found examples of plastics, wood, metal, stone and wood. |
09.09.25 Today we heard our English story for the first time. We heard the story of Red Ted at the beach. Orange class will be doing lots of Red Ted work over the next few weeks, thinking about the characters, and the setting, before we finish with a big write. |
05.09.25 We have had a lovely first week in Orange Class! We have practised our phonics, and our letter formation, as well as reviewing our numbers 1-20. Miss Keating and Mrs Jennings have been very impressed at how settled the children have been, and how kind everyone's been to each other at playtimes and choosing time. |
